IMPORTANCE OF THE FEMINIST THOUGHT FOR MODERN CIVILIZATION

Abstract

The article examines the problem of the need for actualization of progressive ideas of feminist and gender thought in modern society. Feminist thought and its unconventional views on social realities actualized a number of fundamental problems that have coordinated a certain path of the civilization development. Special attention is paid to the fact that global integration processes and human society globalisation had a great qualitative influence on on the social climate in the modern world. At the same time gender conflicts in society are a satellite of the social and economic transformation of any society and actualize the progressive nature of the feminist and gender thought ideas. There is increasing discrimination against socially vulnerable groups of people such as women, the disabled, children, elderly people due to the aggravation of economic, intercultural, religious, political and social contradictions in the modern civilization. Attention is focused on the fact that this issue is not being given due attention in the present-day Russian scientific thought. The authors support the paradigmatically significant postulates of the whole philosophy of feminism: counteraction and antidiscrimination in any of its manifestations, and not only against women, is the most powerful stabilizing and humanizing factor that constructs modern civilization.
