EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC – THE PAST, THE TIME AND THE FUTURE
Abstract
In the Czech Republic is possible to see a new trend in emergency medicine – building new departments of urgent medicine (DUM). These workplaces we can call Emergency or urgent reception department. Creation of these departments is connected with high development of urgent medicine and new styles and possibilities of care about patients. Emergency departments are officially an education centers for all medical personnel (medics, paramedics and nurses) too. Unfortunately, we don’t have some recommendations and methodological guidance for these departments. A lot of this workplaces are depend only on experience of another hospitals with this types of department and absence of documentation from high levels of healthcare (Ministry of healthcare etc.) has a high impact on organisation of work, possibilities and structure of these departments. Is necessarily to point out of all aspects of work in emergency departments, which are the main purpose of building new emergency workplaces and benefits for all – healthcare system, patients and medical professionals.
