Abstract

The articleВ’s focus is to evaluate language education in terms of formation of multilingualism as one of the factors of successful internationalization. The questions of language education are discussed in the article as well as the modern language policy of the Republic Sakha (Russia) has been considered and the activities implemented at the University level are evaluated. The research was conducted on the base of state policy documents analysis, reports on modern position of Russia in the international market of education. Analysis of the results achieved by prominent Higher Education institutions allowed assuming that there has been a steady tendency to global, mobile type of education. For sustainable development of higher education institution within the developed tendencies it is necessary to make essential efforts on strengthening its own competitiveness in the conditions of global educational space and to take, in addition to financial and standard aspects, the decision for taking measures at the institutional level. Assessment of a condition of internationalization of higher education institution was carried out on the basis of the analysis of the data provided on the official websites, results of questioning of the decision-makers, questioning of the Russian and international students of NEFU. Data for assessment have been collected for the period 2014-2016.
