CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK FOR TEACHING THE GEOMETRY OF BASIC SCHOOL STUDENTS USING THE DGS
Abstract
The most effective means of teaching mathematics, based on information technology, dynamic geometry software (DGS) are internationally recognized. The purpose of this study is the theoretical grounding of methodological features, the development and pilot testing of the effectiveness of the methodology for teaching the geometry of students in basic school using DGS. The article formulated conceptual approaches to the teaching of geometry in the basic school with the use of DGS, defined the forms of organization of training lessons consistent with the conceptual framework. In accordance with established methodology, the process of forming geometric concepts is carried out using the dynamic geometry software at all stages: motivational, operational-activity and reflexive-evaluative. The productive activity of students in mastering geometric concepts is mastering the existing tools of the DGS or creating their own tools. The results are presented, that have verified the effectiveness of the developed method for improving the teaching of the geometry of students in the basic school.
