TRENDS AND PROSPECTS OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

The industrial complex of Russia is one of the leading sectors of the national economy and a key component of the expanded production in general, ensuring the formation of more than 37% of GDP, over 32% employment, and more than 40% of the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation. Until 2004 inclusive, industry was regarded as an isolated, the largest branch of the national economy, consisting of isolated industries, operating exclusively in the sphere of material production. Since January 2005, the branch system of industry has been replaced by a classification by types of economic activity, which allows to depart from the classical scheme of distribution for material and non-material production, which makes it difficult to keep records of industries. Numerous studies show that during the period of existence, Russian industry has gone through several main stages. To activate the development of the foundation of the national economic complex of the country, a systematic approach is needed at all levels, including a set of measures, including program-targeted planning. An active modernization of fixed assets is necessary, which can be realized through the implementation of the mechanism of public-private partnership. This requires concrete programs for the development of industry at the macrolevel and mesolevel.
