INCREASING SENSITIVITY TO LITERARY TEXT: THE ART OF ISAAK BABEL IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE EDUCATIONAL FORMAT "VELONOTTE"

Abstract

The purpose of this analysis is to critically examine an experience of perceiving a literary text and to provide a special approach to make the perception deeper. To raise awareness intended to introduce the reader to Isaak Babel’s “Red Cavalry” artistic text a new way of receiving the text has been proposed. A bike by night event of the educational project “Velonotte International” in Sergiyev Posad, Russia, highlights the importance of facilitation of the receiver entering into a relationship with the author famous by his rough naturalism and style refinement, studied within the theoretical framework of literary and linguistic stylistics research. During each event a survey is conducted by the analysis of applications for participation, giving the possibility to make a "portrait" of the participants of such sports night cycling events. Basically, it is working townspeople from 20 to 45 years old, having higher education and interested in history, literature, music. The aim of the project is to reveal the possibilities of cultural activities in the city, the inclusion of city residents in cultural life using a special, new language of communication in motion.
