Abstract

Globalization as an inevitable and ever expanding phenomenon in society affects all its spheres. It is related to the struggle of strong economic entities in the world economy for dominance, to the conflict of cultures about the future nature of human society, finding the universal effectiveness and universal values and to the collapse of the bipolar world. In the context of the ongoing global changes, the issue of raised demands emerges in the context of an aging population. This text mentions generational clashes occurring in the workplace in the form of parochialisms, negative attribution, growing marketing and the rule 20:60:20. The second dimension of this research is the development of state welfare policies in relation to seniors through cost items - public expenditure on pensions, social services and also health care. The research in this part is based on data of population development in the longer term, as well as on data on government expenditure to ensure that pensions are in accordance with the pension policy of the state. Globalization puts pressure on employers, which is the third dimension that is being researched. The focus here is on such phenomena as: bad health, workforce stability, performance, as well as mutual experience sharing. The final part of the submission focuses on the challenges, both positive and negative, of globalization in the context of aging population. Some options are introduced here that can be effectively used in all three dimensions in terms of the work market, intergenerational cooperation, mutual tolerance and intercultural dialogue within the Eastern Bloc countries. Contribution elaborated in the framework of the project KEGA 018KU-4/2013 - The research of using activiating methods in secondary education in the subject of social- legal protection and creating of new teaching instruments for thier implematation in the educational proces.
