INTEGRATION OF NATURAL SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINES BY MEANS OF HIERARCHICAL COMPLEXES OF CONTEXTUAL PROBLEMS AS A METHOD OF FORMING THE RESEARCH COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF MEDICAL UNIVERSITIES
Abstract
Background: The authors analyze the current situation associated with the methodological aspects of the forming of research competence of medical students in the process of their learning fundamental natural scientific disciplines. The task of forming research competence of students of medical universities in the process of their education is socially significant and is called for by the need to increase the scientific potential of modern medical education. Despite this, scientific and methodological research on the specialties of medical students' training, the practice of working in a medical universities, the results of student and teacher interviews, the results of control and academic events show that students experience difficulties in carrying out research activities, independent search for ways to solve problems and use various methods of cognition. ThatВ’s why the problem of studying the process of forming the research competence of medical students when learning natural science disciplines is actual today. Methods: the authors of the article examine the components of research competence of medical students and the levels of its formation in the process of their learning natural-scientific disciplines. The following theoretical methods of research are used: analysis of psychological, pedagogical and scientific methodological literature; Federal state educational standard of higher education; training programs and other educational documentation, as well as manuals on natural and professional disciplines for medical universities; comparison and generalization of the experience of training students of medical higher education institutions in the context of the research; nomination of working hypotheses. In addition, experimental methods are used to justify and prove the hypothesis of our research. Results: we found that the problem of forming the research competence of medical students in their learning of fundamental natural-scientific disciplines requires the resolution of contradictions in the organization of the process of training students of medical universities on the basis of integrating the theoretical significance of each of the disciplines and implementing its applied orientation. It was established that the introduction of contextual additions to the content of training and the use of methods and forms that bring research activity of students allow creating favorable conditions conducive to increasing the level of research competence of students of medical universities. Conclusions: the using of hierarchical complexes of contextual problems, built on the basis of content constructs for the integration of fundamental natural science disciplines, leads to an increase in the level of research competence of the students and the development of the motivational sphere of the teaching.
