Abstract

In the last 5 years the technological advances in the financial services markets brought about significant modifications in the jobs titles and structure. Digitalization and FinTech, Blockchain, General Data Protection Regulations are just a few of the primary causes of significant modifications all through the financial sector. Hence, this article analyzes the modifications concerning the new trends in the training, as competences and skills are becoming more valued than simple knowledge for employers. Talent management is pressured due to the ongoing advances of technologies and must comply with continuous changes in the requirements of hiring companies. On the other hand, lifelong learning for the already existing personnel is quite a challenge and lately, there has been noticed a limited interest of the new generation of employees for ongoing training. Based on international forecast reports of skills, such as the one carried out by CEDEFOPS, the article will replicate the survey for local market in order to illustrate skills obsolescence, main types of job positions to be attended. The purpose of the analysis is to provide a regional view on the competences to be promoted and on the training tools to be employed by 2025.
