EVALUATION OF RESPONSES FROM SEARCH ENGINE INDEXES: ACCESS TO DATA MULTILINGUAL VIA MONOLINGUAL QUERIES

Abstract

With the increased production of data related to the web and library collections, database growth continues to grow. This scalable web has generated derived information from social networks. Indeed, information (true and/or false) comes from social media (Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc.), and that appear in the results of the search engines. All these productions generate problems of documentary noise linked to the increasing number of multilingual resources on the Internet. The search for information in several languages is a research topic that will become important in the future because monolingual indexes offer multilingual documents. This article discusses querying when a user queries a search engine in a language other than the language of the documents sent by the index. These answers should be taken into account because our tests show that the content is multilingual from the first page of the results. Our observations can improve the management of search engine indexes to provide users with more relevant results. The results could also be extended to other language combinations that would improve the indexing and translation of search engine models. Queries in composite language have not yet been sufficiently studied.
