Abstract

The educational demands for accountability as well as transparency, have obliged schools to broaden internal evaluation activities . Since the school evaluators' role is multifaceted, and since the school evaluator is the school principal's subordinate, this paper aims to present the school evaluators' complex position in order to achieve a better understanding of its functioning. Two critical dimensions connected to the above are introduced here: The school evaluators' credibility and the school principal's leadership style. Hence, this tentative model displays four frames as follow: Fake evaluation, confusing evaluation, unreliable evaluation and trustworthy evaluation.
