Abstract

Modernizations in the educational system is impossible without the readiness of teachers to accept and implement these changes. Readiness to be a part of innovative processes is a necessary condition for the teachersВ’ successful work. TeachersВ’ activity nowadays should be based on an creative position, the desire for self-development and self-improvement. However, research shows that teaching stuff of most of Colleges shows resistance to innovation. Teaching staff due to various reasons (personal, organizational, social) is characterized by an ambivalent attitude to innovation, and oftenly clearly or covertly resist to participate in innovation. In this study, the authors try to realize what organizational and pedagogical circumstances need to be created to overcome the resistance of innovative activities by College teachers. The training program to overcome resistance is based on the teachersВ’ participation in real innovationВ’ process and on subject-oriented technologies, as well as an experiment. Almost 400 educators took part in this Program. Organizational and pedagogical conditions can be divided in two groups: invariant (participation in innovation and educational classes in innovation) and variable (psychological training, implementation of their own innovative projects, participation in the preparation of teaching seminars). In the research it is proved that overcoming the resistance of innovative activity of teachers is provided by the creation of a set of organizational and pedagogical conditions that contribute to the acquisition of experience of overcoming pedagogical stereotypes, solving problem situations and case-study. Forming of the ability to overcome resistance is stimulated by technologies that provide reflexivity and subjectivity of teachers (pedagogical situations\case-study, psychological training, problem-based learning, discussions). The article presents the results reflecting the dynamics of overcoming the resistance of innovative activity of College teachers. It is proved that the effectiveness of the work is increased due to the whole complex of organizational and pedagogical conditions; the process of overcoming is based on the inclusion of teachers in real innovative activities.
