Abstract

StudentВ’s research work management is work experience-centred and it is intended to mould certain competencies. One of the main competencies in the current social and economic conditions is preparedness to carry out professional activities. The psychological structure of preparedness includes such a component as the ability to self-manage activities. In the Russian science, activities self-management is associated with the characteristics of the professionalВ’s personal qualities structure and with their values, motives and ideals. At the same time, the presence of the potential qualities does not guarantee their implementation in the activity. Therefore, to develop the studentВ’s ability to self-manage activities, certain prerequisites should be created. StudentВ’s research activity (SRA) can be considered to be such a prerequisite. Unlike other types of studies, this activity has its own specific character. Firstly, the stages of research work are strictly scheduled and they precisely reproduce the sequence of real scientific work. The second feature is the lack of a predetermined result, which introduces an element of uncertainty into the research work of students. In addition, SRA has both a cooperative (a student - a teacher) and a collective nature. Thus, the establishment of SRA, taking into account its specifics, can act as a factor of the development of the ability to self-manage activities. Therefore, it is necessary to study further the technologies and methods of SRA establishment to mould the preparedness for the self-management of studentВ’s professional activities.
