FORMATION OF INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS IN THE INFORMATION EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY
Abstract
Introduction: Social demands aim at the improvement of the modern engineering and technical education in the conditions of the information educational environment of a technical university. The priority purposes of the teaching in the system of Higher education are the personal and professional growth of students: the formation of such qualities of a personality as the ability to take the responsibility, creativity, reflexivity, the ability to work in a team and readiness for further self-development. For this reason, the formation of the independent cognitive activities of students leads to the solution of the socially significant problem of competitiveness of future engineers and transport workers. The authors of the article consider the question of using of remote technologies for the formation of the independent activity of students in the information educational environment of a technical university. Research methods: To study the influence of information technologies on the formation and development of the independent activity of students the authors of this article used some theoretical methods of the research: studying of scientific literature in the field of psychology for the determination of the levels, criteria and indicators of the formation of the independent cognitive activity of students, Case method and the method of observation for the identification of the development of the motivational sphere of the independent activity and the experimental methods allowing to substantiate and prove the research hypothesis. Results: On the basis of the competence-based, activity and personal-centered approaches to the training several information technologies of the formation of the independent activity of students of technical universities have been developed. The process of training of future engineers and transport workers at technical institutions of Higher education is based on the application of active forms and methods of teaching as well as the implementation of modern educational information technologies taking into account the specifics of the taught disciplines. Conclusions: The approach under consideration is of interest as a model of the creation of the educational process allowing to achieve the readiness of graduates of technical institutions of Higher education for independent activity. The competitiveness of future engineers and transport workers is defined by the level of formation of their independent professional activity.
