INVESTMENTS IN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Abstract
Area of alternative energy in the world appeared relatively recently and at once attracted considerable attention to itself, from year to year continuing to strengthen its influence and popularity worldwide. However, international experience shows that in spite of all the advances in the field of alternative energy, the share of electricity from renewable sources in the total volume is still relatively small. But if take into account the great financial and technological difficulties of the transition to renewable sources, as well as steady growth in demand for energy, development problems of the alternative energy gradually come to the fore. So in order to ensure the establishment and subsequent development of the new areas for sustainable energy production requires a solid financial basis - a system of investment programs to develop alternative energy sources both at the state level and at the level of the private sector.
