ASSUMPTIONS OF MODERN SECURITY SCIENCE “SECURITOLOGY”
Abstract
The main aim of the authors of this paper is a synthetic presentation of the assumptions of modern security science called “securitology”, widely promoted by security researchers in Poland. The authors borrow, reproduce and adapt their categories, which at the same time try to make them more specific with regard to the basic problem, which is security related to such care, control and supervision, as well as management, which allow for the persistence, survival, development and improvement of any system. This research approach stems from the methodological assumption that judgments on a certain science cannot be considered in the language of that science, but in its meta-language, also known as “meta-science”. Meanwhile, the authors try to demonstrate that it is cybernetics that can constitute a meta-science in relation to securitology and create a bridge between general abstract disciplines and specific disciplines. Logical and mathematical apparatus provides semantic order and informational order, while concreteness links cybernetics to individual monodisciplines.
