THE ANALYSIS OF TOURIST FLOW ON ROMANIAN SEASIDE DURING 2010-2014
Abstract
The Romanian seaside represents a tourist destination that has a complex tourist potential which unfortunately is not capitalized at its best. Currently, the prices of tourism services sold in the resorts within this area are high and do not reflect their quality. In the period 2011-2014, the tourist flow displayed on the Romanian seaside has recorded slight fluctuations year after year. The highest level of tourist arrivals was recorded in 2012 (805.000 tourists). At the level of this year, foreigners have owned a share of the total arrivals of 4, 47\%. In 2013, the number of tourist arrivals recorded a decrease by 9, 97\% compared with the previous year. This decrease was due mainly to the unpredictable weather during the summer season which led to downfalls of the weekend tourist flow, form of tourism which manifests extensively in this area. In 2014, the number of tourist arrivals recorded an increase by 2,51\% compared with the previous year.
