MANAGEMENT SUBSYSTEM IN THE TECHNOLOGY OF BLENDED LEARNING BASED ON THE DISPACE 2.0 PLATFORM
Abstract
Modern training approaches combine both traditional and new electronic learning technologies. The interpretation of some concepts is different in educational environments, that is why the notion of В‘combined learningВ’ and В‘blended learningВ’ in Russian pedagogical reality is analyzed. Variety of electronic environments offers a choice of the most appropriate for educational organization. Approaches to the selection of software platforms for supporting various forms of training are discussed. Description of electronic learning systems and their comparison is done. Two training systems Moodle 3.2 and DiSpace 2.0 (developed n Novosibirsk State Technical University) are analyzed and compared. The main typical features, system functional, peculiarities of students and teachersВ’ kits, methods of storing information and test making in electronic learning management systems are studied. To assess the productivity of the electronic learning system DiSpace 2,0 the results of an inquiry of students who have completed training in DiSpace 2.0 are presented. It is argued that any learning management system should meet the basic criteria for basic platforms.
