TEACHERS-TO-BE CULTURE OF TRUST IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGIES-AIDED EDUCATION
Abstract
The information age shifts focus in professional education from teaching to studying. Consequently University students are to organize their independent learning. One of the most productive ways of self-learning is making ample use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)-aided education. In the Russian Federation the Federal Law On Education in the Russian Federation no 273-FZ introduced in December 2012 imposes an obligation of using various technologies including ICT. Vast application of Internet sources of information and ICT-aided technologies should be based on sufficient level of students culture of trust in ICT-aided education. The paper introduces the definition and structure of culture of trust in ICT-aided education. The research methodology to determine the level of culture of trust in ICT-aided education is shown, the process of the research of culture of trust level in ICT-aided education is described. The case study conducted in a Teacher Training University in 2016-2017 shows the teachers-to-be culture of trust in ICT-aided education. The Pearson product moment correlation shows the direct connection between the level of culture of trust and the level of performance in doing a research.
