Abstract

This study is very important because through this type of green tourism (ecotourism) we would like to minimize the negative effects on the environment and on the human health. In the last years, the studies from the specialized literature showed that the foreign tourists (Germans, English, Americans) want to spend the vacation in places which are “friendly with the environment”, even if they have to pay more for the offered conditions. In our study, we used a questionnaire among the Romanian tourists, which love the nature, in order to see their opinion regarding ecotourism and which information they have regarding this type of tourism. After analyzing the results, we noticed that the Romanian tourists appreciate more and more the ecotourism and try to contribute to the environment preservation and protection.
