INTEGRATION OF INTERNET- AND MEDIA-TECHNOLOGIES AT THE NEW STAGE OF ALEXANDRINSKY THEATRE
Abstract
The article is a study of interdisciplinary cooperation of IT and multimedia experts from the University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (UITMO), and the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theater. The cooperation resulted in several theatre projects that involve multimedia and internet technologies, in designing the prototype of a system for multi-stream online broadcasting of shows, with the option of interactive involvement of the online audience and switching between the streams; several long-term goals on the use of internet and media technologies on stage have been set.
