Abstract

This study seeks to improve the training process of the students in the representative football team of the University “Politehnica” of Bucharest. The paper aims at promoting a complex of methods and means for improving the strength of the lower limbs and at experimentally validating their efficacy. This scientific research purpose was to make a contribution to improving and assessing the level of development of the lower limbs muscles in the training lessons. This was due to the methodology applied in the training lessons in order to develop the strength of the lower limb muscles. The experiment was conducted in the UPB's gym on a sample of 20 students aged 19-22. The research was conducted between October 2016 and March 2017, during which the subjects were prepared by using a series of operational structures focused on improving the lower limbs muscular force. The main research methods used were as follows: the scientific documentation, the experiment, the pedagogical observation, the statistical and mathematical processing and interpretation and the graphic method. As a result of the research carried out and of processing the results obtained, we noticed significant progress in the final testing compared to the initial testing, which shows the efficiency of the methodology used. Using the complex of methods and means developed contributes to the efficiency of the instructive-educational process.
