Abstract

For effectiveness of sheep farms and economic development of the area where farms develop his activity, we propose the following activities, which can be implemented in any farm regardless of the herds and of the location where the farm is situated. These activities are: rediscovering the ancestral technologies of obtaining traditional products (patina cheese, bellow cheese, cheese in shell of tree, smoked curd, fermented curd, soft ewe’s milk cheese, kneading soft ewe’s milk cheese), rediscovering specific customs and crafts (sheep measurement, Chiriac, Samedrul), using sheep products for the local industry (the revival of pastoral life, the organization of the shepherd in the sheepfold), the reinvention of some tourist routes (pastoral road) on the old trails of the transhumance.
