PRINCIPLES OF INTEGRATED RESCUE SYSTEM IN THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC

Abstract

The nature of the threats the residents in the Slovak Republic are facing at present has changed after joining the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance. The cooperation and coordination of all these institutions has to work. The financial support of security and rescue forces has to be taken into consideration not only in the case of emergency but also during the problem solving preparatory period. Thanks to adequate financial support it was possible to create a good quality information system between sectors dealing with crisis management in the field of health security and the Integrated Rescue System in particular. Health services crisis management is a very important field of civil protection of the population. Recent years have brought significant changes in the perception of crisis management. In addition to the previously practices in emergency situations occur quite new crisis situations the society must react on. Especially after the entry of the Slovak Republic into the European Union and North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the character of the threats to the population of the Slovak Republic has changed. The entry into the European and transatlantic structures has brought together with indisputable increase of safety also possibility of before unexpected attacks on civilian population. In Slovakia, in particular, has changed the perception of the terrorist threats.
