Abstract

The article presents a view of the three related factors that determine the basis of European understanding of social assistance in the context of the Book of Exodus as the starting point of the Judaist-Christian perception of man. First of all, it is a presentation of human dignity, the definition of which, in Europe, cannot be separated from the image of man that is derived from the image of man. Subsequent is the concept of non-judgment, which is the first step in the effort of social assistance to another person, where the inner attitude is to see the problem of another person in the context of the possibility of correction or achievement of a desirable state that corresponds at least to the basic features of the social norm. Finally, the article analyzes the notion of sociality and the pursuit of its application in relation to another person as a clear, positive step of concrete recovery of a person who finds himself in a situation that does not correspond to his dignity. In this article I analyze human dignity as it can be found in the Book of Exodus. I will concentrate on defining the idea of Non-judgment, which is the first moment for the subsequent ability to understand man and focus on providing assistance. I analyze all this in the context of sociality as we find it in the Book of Exodus.
