The article deals with the topic of metaphoric aspect of flowers nomination, reflecting anthropological links between different semiotic systems. We regard the metaphoric field of flowers from the point of view of semiotics and symbolism. The main aim is to present the results of a comparison of two sign systems – the systems of linguistic and flower languages.
