Introduction Between 2010 – 2013 there were 255 478 patients with brain stroke in the Czech Republic (app. 2% from the Czech population). According to the WHO, in 2012 (the latest data) 6,7 million people all over the world died from stroke in 2012 (which represent 11,9 % of all deaths) – it can be called a silent [1].
